This is the Mazda Shinari, the latest in a line of Japanese automaker concept cars in recent years, which will debut at the Paris Motor Show.

The Mazda Shinari concept is the result of collaboration between Mazda’s design studios in Germany, the U.S. and Japan and previews the automaker’s future design language.

Mazda describes its new Shinari concept car as a “pure design concept model of a four-door, four-seater sports coupe which perfectly expresses the ‘kodo – soul of motion’ design.”

Kodo translates as “soul of motion,” and is a move away from Mazda’s former design of Nagare, which translates to “flow.”

Mazda’s Shinari concept car is just short of five meters long and two meters wide. It showcases several new design elements that will carry forward into production.

In addition to the exterior design of this car, Mazda also aims to make a big push in improving its interiors, which are already quite impressive.

Mazda Shinari is here with a new design language for Mazda. Keep an eye on the Paris Motor Show for more info.
