RXi’s Therapeutic Platform (NASDAQ:RXII)

RXi Pharmaceuticals Corporation (NASDAQ:RXII) announced that their Vice President of Technology Development, Dmitry Samarsky will be presenting their new RNAi technology development at the Discovery on Target scientific conference in Boston on November 4, 2009.

 RXi Pharmaceuticals also announced that the presentation of the development will not be webcasted. RXi Pharmaceuticals is a leading discovery stage biopharmaceutical company that looks after the development and commercialization of proprietary therapeutics based on RNAi technology for the treatment of human diseases.

Currently, RXi Pharmaceuticals has a comprehensive therapeutic platform that includes both RNAi compounds and delivery methods. The Company uses its own version of RNAi compounds which provides an advanced alternative to conventional small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and defines the next generation of RNAs. RXi’s RNAi compound (rxRNA) is specially designed for therapeutic use and contains many of the properties needed to move RNAi based drug into the clinic.
