UNDT’s Black Mold Detection (OTC:UNDT)
Universal Detection Technology (OTC:UNDT) has announced that they are expanding their product catalogue which will now include a consumer ready kit for the detection of black mold. The Company has been a developer of early warning monitoring technologies that protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health hazards and threats. UNDT said that the lethal toxin can be found in areas of high humidity or flood damaged homes and cause serious problems and other health complications which can spread. According to the research and studies done by Mayo clinic nearly all sinus infection are results of mold and currently there are around 37 million Americans suffering from chronic sinus infections.
Universal Detection Technology CEO, Jacques Tizabi said during the announcement that the aftermath of Katrina exposed a widespread prevalence of black mold in flood damaged homes and their new product is very easy to use product that will help homeowners to proactively test their homes and fix any mold damage before it creates any health complications. Black mold is considered to be the most serious type mold which is a slimy greenish-black substance commonly found in damp and moist areas of walls, ceilings and floors. The houses flooded by the aftermath of Katrina are perfect examples of homes that have suffered extreme damage from mold.
