Profiling the Nissan Leaf buyer

Must own a home and garage and a Prius already?

EV early adopters same as hybrid early adopters

19,000 people have put down a $99 deposit on the Nissan Leaf. On average, they are 45, make $125,000 per year, own a home, a garage and a Toyota Prius, or some other hybrid according to reports.

75 percent have chosen the top trim level and a majority have picked the color ‘Planet Blue’. Energy independence and the environment are the top two reasons for choosing the Leaf.

80 percent do not currently own a Nissan.
